Foundation Directory Online (FDO) is a searchable database of over 100,000 foundations, corporate giving programs, and grantmaking public charities. UC Irvine has purchased an institutional license for FDO that can be used by all UC Irvine faculty, staff, and students with a valid UCNetID. FDO is hosted at UC Irvine’s Library and can be accessed here.

Pivot is a comprehensive database of funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.

The GRAPES database catalogs extramural funding opportunities of interest to prospective and current graduate students, students working on a master's thesis or doctoral dissertation, and postdoctoral scholars. It contains information on over 500 private and publicly funded awards, fellowships, and internships. Advanced search options allow users to refine their search by field, academic level, award type, award amount, and other criteria. Although it is based at UCLA, it is still a good place to search for opportunities. GRAPES is maintained by the UCLA Fellowships and Financial Services Office.

Guidestar provides general information on foundations and not-for-profits.
